At Rocket City Observatory (1956)

Huntsville, Alabama was home to the facilities the United States government used to develop the country's first space vehicles. For twenty years, Dr. Von Braun, right, focused the community's attention on space-related civic projects. He is shown here with his associate Dr. Ernst Stuhlinger.
